What is a primary care physician (PCP)?

A primary care physician (PCP) is a doctor you see at a nearby clinic in your community when feel a little sick or for medical consultation about yourself or your family members.
We work closely with local PCPs in order to provide consistent and high-quality medical services. If you suspect that you are sick or simply want to see a doctor for a general medical checkup, first visit your clinic. If your PCP decides that you need a more specialized exam or therapy, our medical center will take care of it.
In such cases, we require referrals from your PCP. Your PCP needs to make an appointment for your visit/examination before you visit our medical center.

List of PCPs we work with

(*Since we also work with hospitals and welfare centers, we accept referrals from such facilities as well.)

Referrals from our medical center to your PCP (reverse referrals)

After your treatment and examination at our medical center, once your treatment plan has been formulated and your condition has stabilized, we refer you back to your PCP based on your situation. Please consult your PCP if you need to receive further treatment at our medical center after a reverse referral.

Our pre-appointment system for patient referrals

We recommend that your PCP make an appointment for your visit/examination by sending a fax to our community medical partnership office since this will save your waiting-time on the day of your visit.
After your visit, our doctor will send a referral to your PCP so that you can continue to receive medical services from your PCP.
*If your PCP does not make an appointment for your visit, you will be asked to wait with first-time patients before seeing our doctor.

  1. See your PCP at your local clinic first.
  2. Your PCP makes an appointment for your visit to our medical center (by fax).
*Please fax the referral as soon as it is ready.
  3. We notify your PCP of the appointment date by fax.
  4. Your PCP notifies you of the appointment date.
  5. You visit our medical center with the appointment confirmation and the referral.
*Please register at the community medical partnership office and receive further information. (1) Please see us at the first-timer reception.)
  6. We send a referral to your PCP.

Our open-bed system

Under our open-bed system, we keep some of our beds accessible for your PCP so that our doctor can work closely with them to deliver the best possible treatment.
If you utilize our open-bed system, our doctor and your PCP can work together in order to ensure that the treatment you receive from us is consistent with that you received before hospitalization. Upon your discharge, we refer you back to your PCP.
